Week 1 is about awareness, not correction yet.

It’s the “learning” phase your child is getting used to how the device works and beginning to notice their posture.

The goal is to make them consciously aware of when they slouch.

Psychology behind it:

At first, they’re reacting to the vibration it interrupts an unconscious habit (slouching) and brings it into conscious attention (“Oh, I’m slouching”).

That’s the first and most crucial step of habit formation. Awareness before behavior change.

In simple terms:

This week helps your child notice the problem every time it happens.

The device is teaching them awareness through repetition.

Goal: Build awareness and start recognizing slouching patterns.

Week 2 – Building Awareness, Not Yet Automatic

By week two, your child has developed strong awareness of their posture.

They now recognize when they’re slouching almost every time. But they haven’t yet built the muscle memory to correct it on their own.

Psychology behind it:

At this stage, the brain has learned to associate slouching with the gentle vibration, but the habit isn’t automatic yet.

They’re still relying on those reminders to bring their focus back to proper posture. This repetition is what strengthens the mind–body connection.

In simple terms:

Your child is now consciously aware of their posture but still needs reminders to fix it.

This stage is about reinforcing that awareness until correction starts happening naturally.

Goal: Build consistent awareness and prepare for automatic correction in the next phase.

Week 3 – Natural Correction Begins

By week three, your child’s posture awareness has turned into action.

They now correct themselves automatically, often before the device even vibrates.

Psychology behind it:

The repeated cycle of slouch → vibration → correction has trained their brain to recognize what proper posture feels like.

At this stage, their muscle memory has begun to adapt. Upright posture is starting to feel natural and comfortable, while slouching feels “off.”

In simple terms:

You’ll notice your child sitting upright for longer periods without reminders. The buzzer goes off much less frequently. A clear sign that the habit is taking hold.

Goal: Reinforce posture correction until it becomes second nature.

Week 4 – Confident, Natural Posture

By week four, posture awareness has become second nature.

Your child now sits and stands upright naturally even when the device doesn’t buzz or actively remind them.

Psychology behind it:

Their brain and body have fully integrated the new habit through repetition and positive reinforcement.

Upright posture now feels normal, while slouching feels uncomfortable or “wrong.”

This marks the transition from conscious effort to automatic behavior the foundation of a lasting habit.

Goal: Maintain consistency the vibration goes off less often, but wearing the device continues to reinforce posture naturally.
